The Fertility Goddess Collection
Artist Statement:
My latest collection Fertility Goddess addresses the constant questioning and battles that women have between pursuing higher education and raising a family. I am standing at that crossroads where these choices will affect the rest of my life. I can relate with those women who have to fearlessly choose the right path for themselves: Will it be going to school or work, to be a mother or both? They have to choose, and the timeline is limited because the human body has fertility boundaries.
In this body of work, the style is illustrative, colorful and feminine. Today’s society has a multitude of expectations for women including being mothers. My concern is that tomorrow’s wives may even be chosen based on their egg count.
